WHY DIKE

At Dike Law, our name reflects our commitment to justice, drawing inspiration from Dike, the figure in Greek mythology who best embodies our understanding of fairness. In Greek mythology, Dike is the daughter of Zeus and Themis; she is a goddess who embodies ethical values and human justice. Unlike Themis, who represents divine justice, Dike stands for social justice among people.
Dike embodies the ideals of truth, peace, and the enforceability of justice. Ancient sources describe Dike as the one who brought injustices before Zeus, holding judges who ruled unfairly accountable for their actions. Dike is also referred to as Astraea, a goddess symbolizing innocence and purity.
For us, Dike’s retreat to the heavens when humanity turns away from justice is not just a myth, but a powerful metaphor that serves as a constant reminder of our duty to society.
